Nature Nurtures Farm offers a variety of day camps for children ages 7-12. All camps are led by fun, experienced, and safety-minded staff (all are first-aid/CPR certified). In general our camps offer a blend of structured educational activities, counselor led games, and free play time in our outdoor farm setting. Many activities are based around the lessons animals, plants, or the natural world in general have to teach. We emphasize social and emotional skill building, including a focus on empathy and compassion, both with peers and with our animals. We also believe that children benefit immensely from time spent doing unstructured play outdoors in a "wild" environment; we include some of this time in all of our camps.

Age requirements are rigid for horse camp and somewhat flexible for other camps (by about a year). Most questions are answered on our FAQ page. Detailed policy information is on our FAQ page. Please read
our FAQ page!

Discover all the farm has to offer! Together, we will snack from the garden, find natural mysteries on our hikes in the forest, and dig deeper into farm chores and animal handling in the barnyard and beyond! In small groups, we’ll be given choices to explore the farm’s diverse landscape and potential activities. Campers ride horses once per week, usually on Wednesdays.

In each summer camp offering we hope to develop a strong sense of community in which children are placed at the center of all that we do. We believe that encouraging youth voice and following the children’s natural curiosity will allow for relevant experiences that can deepen a child’s connection to the world around them.

Above all, we believe in the joy and excitement that comes with summers spent at Nature Nurtures Farm. Whether pulling a carrot from the ground, collecting warm eggs from under a hen, building forts, taking an alpaca for a walk, or cooking food over an open fire, we hope that youth of all ages can feel connected to the many layers of learning possible on this dynamic landscape. Nature Nurtures Farm’s Summer Camp recognizes each child’s individuality and supports their experience of discovering the world and who they are in it. This simple philosophy helps to create meaningful summer experiences that keep kids returning year after year.
